About Fairfield, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Fairfield is a small town in Nelson County, Kentucky, and as of 2013 there were 114 residents living here. This community was established in 1818 and later incorporated in 1870. It was originally known as Turkey Town. Fairfield is closely located near other Nelson County communities like Nazareth and Bloomfield, but it is also a short driving distance from major metro areas in Kentucky – Louisville is about 35 miles away, and Fairfield is located about 55 miles southwest of Lexington.

Fairfield is a very small community, so there are few attractions located here. There are only a few businesses in the town, including the Fairfield Auto Mart, Fairfield Furniture, and M & M Recycling. Each June, the community hosts Fairfield Homecoming in the downtown area, and it features clogging, music, food, and yard sales. Neighboring Bloomfield is also home to some notable destinations, including Chuckleberry Farm & Winery, Springhill Winery, and Nettie Jarvis Antiques.

When living or visiting Fairfield, it is important that you are prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to offer. In the summer, this involves hot, hazy, and humid conditions in which temperatures often range from 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. A good air conditioning unit will keep indoor temperatures cool while improving air quality. This is especially important when you consider that Louisville has been ranked as one of the worst cities for air pollution by the Environmental Defense.

Many Fairfield residents enjoy calling Fairfield home because of the cool or mild winter months. The area tends to be warmer than other parts of the country and only receives about a foot of snowfall. Low temperatures in January do reach the mid-20s in January, so it is still important that residents take precautions by having a reliable heat pump or furnace installed during the warmer autumn months.
